06 Laser Murph

What it is

What type of laser are the Ink Hunter models and what are they for?

The Ink Hunters (Easy, Standard and Master) a cosmetic laser of Nd: Yag Q-Switched with a wavelength of 1064nm ideal for the elimination of black ink on the skin.

They also have a KTP filter to target a wider range of colors, and can eliminate red, blue and brown colors, depending on the degree of intensity.

We work with the master.

How does this type of laser work? The energy of the laser is focused on the points of the skin where there is ink and after having chosen a power, and suitable filters, they are projected on the skin.

The pigments absorb the energy and explode breaking the capsule where the ink is. The remains of pigments that have become free in the body will be eliminated by the lymphatic system.

After a reasonable time (minimum 2 months) we will repeat the operation with a little more power. It will take 3 to 12 sessions to completely eliminate the pigment. With 2 sessions we can leave the skin ready to re-tattoo on top (cover up).

We insist that the number of sessions will vary according to each case. The number of sessions cannot be guaranteed, it is the body that is responsible for eliminating the pigment.

Does it leave marks or burns?

Definitely not. The basic principle is based on the Ink Hunter cosmetic laser, emitting a beam of light at a high speed (5-8 nano seconds), so there is no time for the skin to absorb enough energy to burn. it compares to when we pass a lighter under our hand quickly, if we did it slower it would burn.

In how many sessions can I remove a tattoo?

It will always depend on the density of the ink, age of the tattoo, depth where the pigment is and the type of color. It should be noted that in colours such as yellow or green the number of repetitions can be much longer and we cannot obtain optimal results. If we had to indicate an average we could say that we would need about 5 sessions.

Is the energy of the laser important?

Yes, especially for complete eliminations. From the second or third sessions, when the pigment is a little weaker and the energy that it can absorb is not so high. That's when having a powerful laser will be crucial. The Master and Standard models are most appropriate.

Does it matter if i have a phototherapy session done later?

The results speak for themselves. the regeneration observed during the first few days by clients who have received a phototherapy session is much faster than those who do not. we recommend its use strongly, even  on any damaged are work.
